Black Tie Wedding at Silvertip Resort Canmore
Cherie and Alex's wedding at Silvertip Resort in Canmore was a dreamy vision brought to life with soft, whimsical flowers. The florals were complemented by DIY touches lovingly designed or sourced by the couple themselves such as their welcome sign and Sip and Seat display.
Their story began on a rainy evening in South Florida, after weeks of unanswered messages on their dating app. They shared their first date at Top Golf where Cherie's lack of golf skills were quickly revealed, but was followed by a night filled with laughter, connection, and the beginning of something special.
Years later during a private sailboat ride, Alex proposed as a sunset and multiple rainbows stretched across the sky, and Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive played in the background. Cherie was nearly sent overboard by a wave, but with the ring intact (and ring box upside down and all), she said yes!
Their wedding day featured a rare and elegant floral palette of soft yellows and whites. Reception tables draped in black linen set the feel for a sophisticated black-tie soirée, with the white and yellow florals adding warmth to the atmosphere. Their arrangements featured cosmos, dahlias, delphinium, roses, craspedia, matricaria/feverfew, and hydrangeas, and were thoughtfully repurposed from their ceremony to their reception.
"Janie was actually the very first vendor I booked! I fell in love with her work and knew she was the one... The final result exceeded all of our expectations." ~ Cherie, Bride.
Cherie and Alex were absolutely lovely to work with, entrusting us with their vision, and we are honoured to have been part of their special day at Silvertip Resort Canmore.
Congratulations to Cherie and Alex!
