Seasonal Weddings at Lake Louise
The natural beauty of this secluded oasis is what brings many people from all around the world to Lake Louise. Turquoise waters and beautiful glacial views are the highlight of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Nestled on the shores of the lake, this beautiful chateau is a perfect place to get married no matter the season.
Flowers by Janie has been a part of many weddings at the chateau during all four seasons and we have found that there is a beauty to behold no matter the time of year.
SPRING
A spring wedding at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is always a stunning affair. The longer days bring a warmth to the earth after long winter months of ice and snow. As the air warms it makes outdoor ceremonies possible once again.
Though the lake is still covered in snow for most of this season, outdoor ceremonies and photos are possible once more! The beautiful snow-capped surrounding mountains and glacier serve as a stunning back drop while the new life of spring breathes a breath of fresh air back into the mountains.
Indoor ceremony spaces at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise are grand and cozy and perfect for this season. Filled with natural lighting and warm woods the chateau is a perfect reception space.
At the beginning of spring ice-skating and walking across the lake is still possible while frozen. This is perfect for your out-of-town guests to enjoy a little fun before or after your celebrations. With close access to the Lake Louise Ski Resort there are plenty of activities for your guests to partake in.

SUMMER
Summer weddings at the chateau are dreamy and glorious. With mostly warm weather (you never truly know what weather you'll get in Alberta!) and the lake cleared of snow, the pristine turquoise shines through. Warm days and warm nights make this a superb venue during the summer.
Ideal for outdoor ceremonies, the glacier and verdant mountains are a beautiful backdrop for all of your photos. It's no doubt that the bright waters are a stunning feature for your ceremony.
With crystal clear water lapping at the shores, The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is a perfect place for your guests to canoe or kayak across the lake during the day. Walks along the shore are possible as the ground is no longer frozen and icy. Your guests can walk all the way to the other end of the lake for gorgeous views of the chateau or hike the many nearby trails.
Indoor receptions are bright and airy during this season and offer stunning views of the natural landscape and views of the late night sunsets as the sun crests below the horizon.

FALL
Fall is a perfect season for cozy weddings. While the lake hasn't frozen over, though it may, the night temperatures are slowly dropping, and snow begins to dust the mountains. With unpredictable weather in the Canadian Rockies it makes an indoor ceremony one of the best options.
The stunning stone fireplace in the Victoria Ballroom is perfect for autumn ceremonies as the nights grow shorter. Candles and warm toned flowers and décor make for a perfect addition to this space to aid in warming up the atmosphere.
The highlight of this season and the surrounding areas are the coniferous larch trees which turn yellow and shed their needles each fall. During this small window of time the surrounding hills and mountains are painted in gold, and larches line many popular trails from Lake Louise.
This unique natural phenomenon is perfect for your outdoorsy guests to enjoy and makes a stunning background for intimate photos with your partner. That, along with the fresh dusting of snow make a fall wedding at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise extra special.

WINTER
Transformed in the winter into a magical wonderland, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is also a stunning venue during this season. With snow covering the mountains and glaciers a cozy atmosphere can be found around the chateau.
The stillness the snow brings is perfect for elopements and weddings of all sizes. With the lake frozen over there are countless activities such as sleigh rides, skiing, and ice skating for you and your guests to enjoy making this venue ideal during this season.
Much like in the fall, the Victoria Ballroom serves as a wonderful ceremony and reception space. The tall windows in the ballroom allow for enjoying the beauty of the outdoors while staying warm inside the chateau. And, if you are brave enough to endure the cold, the snow covered terrain makes for a wonderful backdrop to any of your photos and video.
