Ethereal Summer Wedding at the Calgary Golf & Country Club

Shannon and David hosted their wedding day at the exclusive Calgary Golf and Country Club, planned and executed seamlessly by Melissa Dawn Event Designs. Their ceremony was held indoors in the beautifully transformed clubhouse, with their reception and dance floor area just a few steps away. The abundance of floor to ceiling windows allowed plenty of natural light to flow in, creating an ethereal atmosphere and allowed for pristine views of the immaculate golf course. The venue upholds a certain style and etiquette which certainly added to the elegant ambiance that Shannon and David imagined for their special day.

The couple envisioned their wedding to be joyful, modern, whimsical, romantic, elegant and inviting and our team was able to capture their vision in flowers! They also wanted the flowers to "wow" their family and friends! With inspiration from a previous wedding that included floral columns, our team created a beautiful wall of flowers as a backdrop for their ceremony. There were five floral columns on either side of the couple, with varying heights and florals including dahlias, roses, delphinium, hydrangea, and more.

The floral wall was accompanied by smilax-decorated chandeliers with hints of flowers above the walkway. Our team also designed a beautiful 5ft wide hanging installation above the dance floor greened with smilax and adorned with seasonal blooms in their colour palette.
