Jordan and Jesse were married on a beautiful June afternoon, in an outdoor wedding ceremony at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir in Banff National Park. The weather was warm, only a few clouds were in the sky and the Rocky Mountains made an incredible backdrop!
Two of our team members drove out to Banff to set up flowers for the ceremony. Brenda and Rebecca added flowers to a custom made wooden arch that was designed in the shape of a diamond. Coral charm peonies were the feature flower and focal bloom along with Juliet garden roses, Koko Loko garden spray roses and peach lisianthus. We also used spirea, sweet peas, scabiosa and ranunculus. The floral colour palette was a mix of coral, peach, dusty mauve and burgundy with purple lilacs being added to the reception flowers.
Guests drove in from Calgary for the mountain ceremony and then returned to Calgary for an evening reception at The Pioneer Calgary, a new wedding venue that opened last year. The Pioneer was a blank canvas and we worked closely with Calgary wedding planner Moments by Madeleine to surprise J + J with the reception look which they adored!!!
While the wedding ceremony and bridal party portraits were taking place in Banff, the rest of our team {Laura and Janie) was at The Pioneer flowering a 40ft staircase (20ft per side), adding floral garlands to guest tables and entryways and designing a floral installation on the wall behind the head table. We transformed the venue into a lush, indoor floral garden!
Below are two videos, one that showcases the wedding florals and one of the couple's wedding highlight film; both captured by Calgary wedding filmmaker Castaño Films.
