Alyssa and Antonio were one of our couples who had to postpone their original May 2020 wedding due to the pandemic. They decided not to postpone a second time and celebrated a beautiful winter wedding in November. They celebrated the sacrament of marriage at Ascension Catholic Parish and then hosted 50 of their closest family and friends for a seated reception in the newly renovated Oak Room at the luxurious Fairmont Palliser Hotel, an iconic Calgary wedding venue! Calgary wedding planner Moments by Madeleine made sure that the couple had the most fabulous day despite hosting a pandemic wedding. The reception has so many beautiful details that it's hard to tell that there was no cutlery on the tables (the venue brought it once guests were seated) and that the 6 foot round tables normally seating 10-12 guests only had 4-6 guests who sat by household for social distancing.

Guests were not allowed to dance so the couple had a private first dance next to indoor sparklers set up by Pez Productions. They shared dances with each of their parents and also had their cake cutting in private. Our sister company, Castaño Films was there to capture these moments and put together a same date video edit for all the guests to watch! It was a beautiful touch to an already beautiful day and now the couple has a heirloom film collection to share with all their loved ones!

The staff at the Fairmont Palliser were very professional and courteous and the Oak Room with its soft grey tones and modern decor and lighting was perfect for a smaller more intimate wedding.
