Sara and Chris were married at our favorite Calgary wedding venue, The Lake House, this past June. The couple chose a soft pastel colour palette because Sara's favorite colour is lavender. The flower colours included shades of pink, champagne, blush, lilac, mauve, ivory and sky blue. The flower combination of peonies, ranunculus, delphinium, roses, veronica, spirea, Koko Loko spray roses and sweet peas worked well with Sara's gown which had a full blush skirt. They also looked stunning with the bridesmaid's lavender gowns. Our team transformed the Lake House Calgary into a lush garden, fit for a fairy tale princess which is exactly what Sara was.
Our team loved designing the two piece fireplace mantel florals which was a statement design for the ceremony. It was also the backdrop for the bride and groom's sweet heart table during the reception. The guest tables had multiple gold vases with blooms and greenery arranged in them and spread down the length of the tables. We included rosemary, bay leaf and olive leaves in the designs as a nod to the groom's Italian and Croatian heritage.
Our team was so happy to be a part of this beautiful Calgary wedding and we enjoyed working with such a sweet couple. Their wedding has also been featured in print in Wedding Bells Magazine Spring Summer 2020 edition.
Thank you to Shannon Yau Photography for capturing all the magic of their fairy tale wedding day!
