A Canmore Wedding Venue- The Malcolm Hotel

We love mountain weddings, I mean who doesn't, and being based in Calgary allows for many wedding floral deliveries and set ups to the beautiful Canadian rockies for large and intimate weddings alike. The end of February was an extra special time for us this year as my husband Oscar and I were invited to stay at the newly built luxury Canmore wedding venue, The Malcolm Hotel, where we collaborated with the hotel and a team of vendors led by Calgary wedding planner Madeleine from Moments by Madeleine and wedding photographer Kadie of Kadie Hammel Photography. 

We enjoyed staying in the spacious king suite for two nights with a super comfy bed, soaker tub + balcony with views of the three sisters mountain range! It was such a treat! What I loved about the hotel is that it has a scottish flair (and I adore Scotland, especially Edinburgh + the Isle of Skye)! You'll find tartan patterns incorporated into the interior design and rooms with names like the Edinburgh ballroom + Edinburgh Castle. There is also an outdoor heated pool and two hot tubs to relax in to calm all of the pre or post wedding stresses. For weddings, the Edinburgh ballroom has beautiful industrial chandeliers and floor to ceiling windows that have mountain views. There is also an outdoor terrace for those wanting an outdoor reception or cocktail hour. The food is delicious and I highly recommend the Malcolm Mac + Cheese or the Malcolm burger from Stirling Grill + Lounge.

We put together a creative shoot featuring an outdoor winter reception on the terrace with wooden benches covered in faux fur and lush floral columns dripping with fresh greenery, toffee roses, clooney ranunculus and more. Then cozy up indoors with an intimate sweetheart table for two and your own personal mini cakes! The Malcolm has many picturesque views surrounding the property for couples portraits. The inside staircase and the grand fireplace near the hotel entrance offer stunning backdrops for any bridal portraits! Also, can we talk about how incredible the bride's floral skirt from Blush + Raven is? It makes me want to get married all over again!
