The Pantone colour for 2019 is Living Coral and I couldn't be happier! Coral is one of my absolute favorite colours. I don't wear much of it in outfits but I'm attracted to flowers and home decor in this colour. If you'd like to make a little statement or just add a splash of colour to your wedding day, this might be the colour for you.
Coral is vibrant, playful yet lighthearted. It is a warm colour and perfect for spring, summer and fall wedding colour palettes. Pantone describes Living Coral as "an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge." With its gold undertone no wonder coral looks so great next to golden Toffee, Camel and Combo roses but also goes perfectly well with more peachy hues like Juliet garden roses and apricot lisianthus.
A few of my favorite coral flowers are; peonies (coral sunset + coral charm peonies), ranunculus, dahlias, Romantic Antique garden roses, Amsterdam + Free Spirit roses, Blushing Parasol, Coral Fiesta + Barbados spray roses from Eufloria and apricot lisianthus that has a peachy/coral hue. Snapdragons, alstroemeria and gladiolus also come in beautiful coral shades!
If you are looking to add some colour and playfulness into your wedding in 2019, I'd suggest adding in some coral! Scroll down to see how our team has incorporated coral into 2018 weddings and editorials for some fun floral/coral inspiration!

There might not be a more perfect coral flower in the spring than a coral peony! They are just showstoppers and the coral contrasted so nicely against the wood and brick interior of Charbar! Photos by Grey Lily Photography
More Romantic antique garden roses and Blushing Parasol spray roses were used in this May wedding at The Saskatoon Farm near Calgary, Alberta. The coral combined with blush pink and mustard hues was a lovely colour palette to design with. Photos by Kristyn Harder Photography.

This editorial shoot for Rocky Mountain Bride Regional Volume 4 Magazine was shot on location at Azuridge Estate Hotel, located 20 minutes southwest of Calgary. We are excited for the real couple (Emma + Jordan) featured here to be married on December 31, 2019 in Edmonton and are so excited to be their wedding florist! For this editorial we created a bouquet, boutonnieres and a large centerpiece using coral ranunculus, apricot lisianthus, Toffee roses, Quicksand roses, thryptomene, white ranunculus and mixed foliage. These images were from our rebrand editorial shoot last May and included most of my favorite floral colours and flowers. Coral ranunculus, lisianthus and blushing parasol spray roses were used alongside blush peonies, camel roses, spirea and viburnum. This entire colour palette makes my heart sing!
