Primrose Lifestyle was the setting of this gorgeous harvest inspired, styled wedding shoot that was featured online on the Magnolia Rouge blog.
Located just south of Calgary, Alberta, Primrose Lifestyle is the perfect location for hosting an intimate fall wedding ceremony and reception. Their farmhouse and property includes a large and beautiful outdoor fireplace which I had fun getting creative with! They also crafted the French country style harvest table which was adorned with lush florals, fresh fruit, taper candles, lovely place settings, a feminine and airy table runner and velvet napkins. The colour palette chosen by Calgary wedding planner Madeleine from Moments by Madeleine was not your typical fall colour palette. It included muted and dusty tones of blush, champagne and mauve mixed with richer colours like plum, burgundy, coral and caramel.
I chose dahlias to be the feature flower in the arrangements as they were in peak season at the time and were sourced from a local flower farm, Field Flower Farm.
The fall bridal bouquet, held by our lovely bride Hannah, featured "Sweet Nathalie" blush pink dahlias and a mix of two white dahlia varieties called "Petra's Wedding" and "Boom Boom White". The dahlias in the centerpieces and fireplace mantel arrangement were a bi-colour pink/coral dahlia variety called "Wine Eyed Jill" along with the previously mentioned varieties. It was so incredible to walk through the rows of dahlias at Field Flower Farm and choose the varieties that would work best with the autumnal colour palette for this shoot. I also included some other favorite fall blooms such as Annabelle hydrangea, zinnias, scabiosa, hanging amaranthus and snowberries along with caramel chrysanthemums, burgundy orach and Quicksand roses.
